Walnut Grove (also known as the Morgan-Skinner-Boyd Homestead) is on both the National and Indiana State Historical Registries. One of the first properties settled in Lake County, the Italianate brick home is believed to have been built in 1877 by the Morgan family. Located on the old Lincoln Highway, Walnut Grove has been a staple of Northwest Indiana for well over a century. The site continues to attract curious onlookers, captivated by its Victorian architecture and the majestic walnut trees that shade the beloved property.
